Econo Box Car Services - Rental Agreement

This Rental Agreement the Agreement is made between EconoBox Car Services the Lessor and the undersigned customer the Lessee

Rental Terms:

Rental Fees & Payment

• Daily Rate: $69.99

• Weekly Rate (if applicable): $349.99

• Security Deposit: $0 (refundable if no damages or violations occur)

• Payment Method: An invoice will be sent to the Renter’s email. Payment must be completed before or at the start of the rental period.

• Unlimited Mileage: Rentals include unlimited miles at no additional charge.

• Late Returns: Vehicles returned after the agreed return time may be subject to an additional fee of $20 per hour, up to the daily rate.

• Extensions: If the Renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must notify Econobox Cars at least 12 hours prior to the scheduled return time. Extensions are subject to availability and additional charges.

• Refunds: No refunds will be issued for early returns or unused rental days.

• Payment Responsibility: The Renter is responsible for all rental charges, additional fees, fines, tolls, and any costs incurred during the rental period.

• Use of Vehicle

  The Renter agrees to the following terms of use:

  • The vehicle shall not be used for any illegal purposes, including but not limited to transporting unlawful goods, reckless driving, or towing.

  • Only authorized drivers listed on this agreement, with valid driver’s licenses, are permitted to operate the vehicle.

  • The vehicle must not be taken outside of Florida without prior written consent from Econobox Cars.

  • Rideshare and Delivery Use: Econobox Cars permits the use of rental vehicles for rideshare (e.g., Uber, Lyft) and delivery services (e.g., DoorDash, Uber Eats, Amazon Flex), provided the Renter complies with all applicable laws, platform requirements, and insurance obligations. Econobox Cars is not responsible for any incidents, claims, or income loss arising from such use.

  • Off-road use, driving on unpaved or restricted roads, or use in areas subject to flooding is strictly prohibited.

  • The Renter must comply with all state and local traffic laws, speed limits, and parking regulations.

  • Smoking (including e-cigarettes or vaping) and the transportation of hazardous materials in the vehicle are prohibited.

  • Pets are only allowed with prior approval; additional cleaning fees may apply.

    
    

  Fuel Policy

  • Your rental comes with half a tank of gas.

  • Please return the vehicle with at least the same amount of fuel.

  • If the vehicle is returned with less than half a tank, a $25 refueling fee will apply.

  • No credit or refund will be given if the vehicle is returned with more fuel than it was provided.

  
  
  
  

  Insurance & Liability

  • The Renter is fully responsible for any damages, theft, loss, or misuse of the vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault.

  • The Renter acknowledges that they carry valid auto insurance that provides coverage for rental vehicles. Proof of insurance may be required before the vehicle is released.

  • Econobox Cars offers optional rental coverage through Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, which the Renter may choose to purchase for additional protection.

  • Any costs not covered by the Renter’s personal insurance or optional coverage are the sole responsibility of the Renter.

  • The Renter is responsible for any deductible, denied claims, or exclusions under their insurance policy.

  • The Renter agrees to immediately notify Econobox Cars and their insurance provider in the event of an accident, theft, or damage. A police report must also be filed when applicable.

  • Unauthorized drivers, driving under the influence, reckless driving, or using the vehicle for illegal purposes automatically void all coverage, making the Renter fully liable.

  • Econobox Cars is not liable for:

    • Personal injuries sustained by the Renter, passengers, or third parties.

    • Loss of personal property inside the vehicle.

    • Indirect or consequential damages such as lost time, missed appointments, or financial losses caused by accidents or breakdowns.

Maintenance & Breakdowns

• Renter must immediately report any mechanical issues, accidents, or towing needs to Econobox Cars.

• Econobox Cars will cover normal wear-and-tear breakdowns (e.g., engine failure not caused by misuse).

• Any damages, breakdowns, or towing costs resulting from negligence, misuse, off-road driving, racing, unauthorized repairs, or failure to follow vehicle instructions are the Renter’s responsibility.

• Renter must not attempt repairs without prior written approval from Econobox Cars. Unauthorized repairs will not be reimbursed.

• If the vehicle becomes unsafe or inoperable, the Renter must stop driving immediately and contact Econobox Cars for instructions.

• Econobox Cars is not responsible for personal inconvenience, lost time, or indirect costs (such as missed flights, appointments, or income) caused by a breakdown or mechanical issue.

Delivery & Pick-up:

The Renter shall collect the Vehicle from the location specified by EconoBox Cars and shall return the Vehicle to that same location on the date it is due."

Rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft provide Insurance while working on their platform.
